Everyone’s on Snapchat these days and Snapchat is working towards making the usage of the app more fun. Now you can choose to add some more fun features to your snap like the place where you are sending the snap from and more.
Snapchat’s new geofilters allow you to add certain location–specific filters to your snaps, provided you have enabled the location service and filters on your Snapchat account. And the Snapchat geofilter are location specific, i.e. certain features that may be available in one place may not be available in another part of the world.
Howcan you access the geofilters?
If you want to access the geofilters on Snapchat, all you have to do is follow these simple rules.
For Android devices, go to
Settings > Location > Turn on
For the ios devices, go to
Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and turn it on for Snapchat
How can you enable the Snapchat filter?
To add filters on your Snapchat,
- Go to your Snapchat settings.
- Select ‘Manage Preferences’ option under the additional services.
- Turn on the ‘Filters’ option.
Snapchat, also, allows you to create your own original geofilter. And these personalised geofilters are minting money since not many companies are using it and the feature is relatively new in the market.
How can you add the Snapchat geofilter?
Add the geofilter to your snap is the easiest thing to do, just swipe right on the snap and see which ones are around you. Snapchat’s only requirement is that your location services are turned on to add this unique filter and the upside of the app is that it does not store the location data.
Click a picture or a video and swipe right to see the filters that are available in your location.
